Topeka, KS - Sunflower community Inc CRC@STOUT 2303 SW College Ave - BEMSpice Company and Sunflower Community Inc. are teaming up to bring an exciting lineup of summer camps, culinary experiences, and educational enrichment programs to children and families in Topeka and Shawnee County. This initiative aims to provide hands-on learning, nutrition education, and engaging summer activities that inspire creativity, community, and well-being.
With a shared commitment to empowering youth, supporting families, and fostering a love for culinary arts, BEMSpice Company and Sunflower Community Inc. will host a series of interactive programs focusing on food education, entrepreneurship, and outdoor activities.
Summer 2025 Highlights
BEMSpice Culinary Camps - Kids and teens will learn about spices, flavor pairings, and creative cooking techniques while preparing delicious, healthy meals.
Sunflower Community Inc. Farm-to-Table Experience - A hands-on journey from planting and harvesting to cooking and nutrition education, teaching kids the importance of fresh, local ingredients.
STEM & Food Science Labs - Engaging activities that combine science, cooking, and hands-on experiments to spark curiosity in young minds.
Entrepreneurial Workshops for Young Chefs - Teaching children and teens how to develop their own food-based business ideas, from seasoning blends to snack innovations.
